All of us have been experiencing this quarantine differently…some are stressed being on the front lines, some are overwhelmed being with little ones all day long, some are frustrated with balancing homeschooling and work, some people are enjoying the slower pace of life and time with family. Whatever you reaction to this pandemic, just honor it. Big feeling are ok, we just need to try to not get stuck there. No mater what your experience, you’ve probably been spending more time with your family than usual in your house. I’m wondering how getting back to life and being away for a bit will be for your kids.
I know my youngest has been anxiety free being home in her happy place; I’m curious to see how she is once life gets back to normal. If being away form your little one causes them some separation anxiety try signing this song when you go to work, or when your spouse goes back to work. You can sing this song about the person leaving and then ask ‘who else do we love’…and the attention goes from the person leaving to someone else. It worked like a charm for my family.
This can also just be a fun song to sing anytime, not just when anxiety rears its head. It’s always good to remember our loved ones and sing about them! Whatever you are feeling during this time, I hope you know that you are loved!
